We are a group of concerned citizens living and/or working in Stokes County that are petitioning the county commissioners to stop euthanizing animals at the shelter using the gas chamber. It is a sad truth that any animal must be euthanized and lethal injection is the only humane way to do this necessary deed. We wish there were a way that all the wonderful animals that come in could find the loving home they deserve, but know that is not a reality. Until that becomes a reality we will be here fighting for those animals so that they may atleast die in the most humane way possible. Don’t you think that is the least we can do?
